The Importance of saying thank you or an acknowledgement

I used to snag things and rarely even take time to say thank you or anything. Now that I'm putting my stuff out there, I see that every comment is a boost. No comments makes me think that I am being taken for granted or that nobody likes my designs. Now I try to comment and let them know that their hard work is appreciated when I snag.
